Queso Fine Cheese news - February / March 2025
What an incredible 12 months we have had!!
Although we have done fewer markets in January / February, we have been very busy behind the scenes. There has been continued work on the website. Mick has become a Personal Licence holder which means we are able to sell alcohol if we choose; we are thinking of a very small number of wines to go with cheese. We have introduced new lighting and external signage at the unit on Moseley Road in Birmingham to make it more amenable to visitors - and we will be looking to expand our "click & collect" service and opening times - which is proving to be very popular.
We have been trying new cheeses and will be adding some of them into our range.
Mick recently took part in a 2 day "Tasting and Sensory Analysis" level 3 course in London run by The Academy of Cheese which gave a a fascinating insight into how people taste and experience cheese. It was also a great opportunity to meet some fellow cheesemongers and experts from UK and abroad.
March sees the return of the monthly Birmingham Artisan Markets in Kings Heath, Jewellery Quarter and Bournville, and a new events in Bearwood. We have secured our place at the monthly Farmer's Market in Sutton Coldfield. We continue with our weekly markets at Kenilworth (Thursday), Stratford (Friday) and |Warwick (Saturday) and will be a regular fixture a the monthly Lichfield Producers Market on the 1st Sunday of the month, and Harbourne on the 3rd Saturday. A full list can be seen https://queso.uk/pages/popups.
So in short, we will be busy doing around 30 markets/ events a month going forward this year; continuing to bring you great, delicious and fresh cheese.
Think cheese - think Queso!
