Fourme d'Ambert cheese, a cylindrical blue cheese, originates from the Auvergne region of France and dates back to Roman times. Made by local artisans, it can be made from pasteurised or unpasteurised cow’s milk. It has a creamy, semi-soft texture with a mild, earthy aroma and a sweet, tangy flavour. Fourme d'Ambert is protected by AOC (Appellation d'Origine Controlé)
